Leopoldo has a degree as a technical agricultural engineer as well as a Master in Solar Energy from the University of Almería and the Plataforma Solar, Almería.
His main expertise fields are sustainable supply chain management, implementation of social standards and stakeholder engagement.
He gained in-depth experience in implementing social standards and management systems and is an expert in collective agreements and in the mediation of labour disputes.
Furthermore, he was involved in the application and auditing of the BSCI initiative (Business Social Compliance Initiative).
Since four years, Leopoldo has been consulting and training suppliers of large supermarket chains on the implementation of the social module GRASP (Good Risk-based Agricultural Social Practices) of the GLOBALG.A.P standard in Almería and Granada.
Before this, he developed the local interpretation of the GRASP module, adapting it to the specific conditions of the agricultural sector and the respective collective agreements in Spain.
