Beat Grüninger is founder member of the Director of BSD and BSD Brazil.

Degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Zurich, also has a postgraduate in Developing Countries by ETH Zurich (Federal Institute of Technology Zurich).

He worked in the Swiss Committee for UNICEF as a communications officer, and in 1998 the co-founder of the BSD.

Is certified as an Associate for Sustainability Assurance Practitioner IRCA / AccountAbility and has a background as an auditor by SAI SA8000 (Social Accountability International). It is several years a consultant to Fairtrade and has now assumed management of the project Responsible Sourcing of Transfair / USAID in Brazil.
